My new life in JavaFX

I'm exhausted so I'll just make this a brief lead-in to more blogs coming next week. The short news is that I've switched teams (again :). I'm now on the JavaFX team working on new tools. In fact, I've been in Prague all week meeting my new coworkers, as we hail from around the globe.

Why am I doing this?

I've moved to this new team because I really, truly care about the user. Nothing in software matters more than what the end user of our products experience. From the mental model to the exact shade of a button's shiny highlight, every detail matters. I very much believe that JavaFX is going to be a great way to create wonderful user experiences. And I don't just mean JavaFX Script. JavaFX is so much more; which I'll further explain in my next blog.

Over the next few weeks I'll have more to share, so stay tuned. It's going to be a crazy and exciting year!
