My new blog

As many of you may know, user interface design is a passion of mine. I want software that both looks pretty and acts well. I've had lots of ideas on the topic, often bleeding over into art and traditional design, in addition to usability. After thinking about it for a couple of years I've finally decided to create a blog dedicated to the topic: www.joshondesign.com

At Josh On Design I'll be writing on art, design, and usability, but with a twist. There are plenty of design sites that focus on professional designers. My site will focus specifically on design for software engineers. It's an area that I think has always been underserved, and that's a shame since software engineers are usually tasked with far more than just writing software.

This site will not be specific to Java or JavaFX. In fact I'm not going to cover any technology in particular, though I'll likely use JavaFX in many of my examples. The goal is to be a general interest site for software engineers who care about quality interfaces and want to learn more.

I hope you'll enjoy it.
